Our Story

I nspiration is easy to come by when you grow up along the Gulf Coast.  Nature fueled my passion for art, photography and visual storytelling, leading me to over a decade of collaboration alongside scientists, journalists and explorers worldwide.  Over that time, I came to understand the beauty and fragility of our world, and the power of perception and motivation.

Out of that fertile ground grew Coral & Oak, a unique studio dedicated to telling stories that educate and inspire audiences to engage with the creatures, people and world around them.  Our films, like our namesake, strike the balance between delicate beauty and steadfast purpose required for truly transformative storytelling.

Our well-traveled team of filmmakers and artists bring their own eclectic backgrounds and infectious creativity to every project, providing the collaborative experience and tailor-made products that have become our signature.

Please take a moment to explore our site, experience our work and reach out to us if you’d like to learn more about who we are and what we can do for you. I’m looking forward to working with you to accomplish wonderful things!

What We’re Good At

We pride ourselves on our ability to tell thought-provoking stories in any medium, and we're eager to work with you from pre-production to final-cut. Check out our services below to learn more.

PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Sometimes it’s hard to know exactly where to start with your story, or what medium to use to tell it. Using our signature process, we’ll work with you from concept to delivery to ensure your next project is designed to reach your audience with the right message delivered the right way.

FILM

Remarkable things can be achieved at the crossroads of experienced filmmaking and innovative camera technology. At Coral and Oak Studio, we’ve assembled both to create the stunning, high definition video and web-ready technology necessary to capture the attention of today’s audiences.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Simple, beautiful and thought-provoking imagery is still among the most powerful ways to create a conversation or plant an idea. From documenting community events to capturing never-before seen species on film, we have the know-how and timing to get the elusive, perfect shot.

ANIMATION

Entertaining characters and cutting edge animation are in high demand, and Coral and Oak Studios is equipped to utilize visual story-telling tools where live-action film often falls short. Our award-winning work has translated complex concepts into relatable stories for audiences of all ages.

ILLUSTRATION

From scientific illustration and water colors to digital painting and infographics, our studio still believes in the power of print. Our combination of precise artistic execution and well-honed design instincts produces sharable media that gets people talking, tweeting and taking action.

OUTREACH

Even the best imagery is no substitute for real-life interaction with the world around us. That’s why we’re delighted to offer or facilitate children’s conservation workshops. We’re eager to use our passion for visual storytelling to inspire understanding and reverence for the natural world.

Work

Our gallery of featured videos, animations and images is fully sortable and updated routinely, so take a moment to look around and please check back regularly for new content.
